This whole book feels like an extended epilogue。 Up to this point the characters have all gone through a lot so it was a departure to check in on how they are all faring, which I appreciated but I feel could have been condensed into maybe 50 pages not 250 or so that this book takes。 I also didn’t love that we have spent all our time up to this point in Feyre’s perspective and now all of a sudden we are hearing from everyone and their voices aren’t as strong。 Also I questioned Maas’ choices in th This whole book feels like an extended epilogue。 Up to this point the characters have all gone through a lot so it was a departure to check in on how they are all faring, which I appreciated but I feel could have been condensed into maybe 50 pages not 250 or so that this book takes。 I also didn’t love that we have spent all our time up to this point in Feyre’s perspective and now all of a sudden we are hearing from everyone and their voices aren’t as strong。 Also I questioned Maas’ choices in the other perspectives as they often repeated stories we had heard already from Feyre’s perspective and we didn’t glean any new information。So a bit of a departure and in my opinion not wholly necessary to the series。 But I guess that’s why it’s 3。1 a continuation of the 3rd instalment。 。。。more

Nice refresher before jumping into the new book。 I just LOVE these characters。 Found myself smiling and literally laughing out loud。 Takes a great author to do that!

this book was nice but really I thought i would get more off the other characters pov than the main characters but overall nice

Just to make me hate Nesta more?? Oh well, on to the next。

What a pointless book。 It was like the Christmas special leading up to the next book in the series。 A 300 page christmas special that basically just told us a couple new changes like a new house and the main character getting an art studio😂

My genius idea was to wait and read this as a refresher for the next book。 In practice, I had to read copious summaries of the previous books for this one to make sense。 This book was a great way to tie the two story archs together。 There were moments of campy holiday sweetness followed by the swift gut punches of postwar PTSD。 I really enjoyed it as a snapshot of a moment of rebuilding。Read this book in December after a snowstorm with a hot toddy。

Of the entire ACOTAR series, this book was my least favorite so far。 I felt it was drawn out and there was not any action。 I understand she may have been setting up for a future novel, and thankfully this book was shorter than the others。 We got to see some inner thinking of some of our other characters besides Rhys and Feyre, however, I would have loved to if seen more of it if we were taking the alternating perspectives。 This book did allow us to see the bond of these friends in this series, w Of the entire ACOTAR series, this book was my least favorite so far。 I felt it was drawn out and there was not any action。 I understand she may have been setting up for a future novel, and thankfully this book was shorter than the others。 We got to see some inner thinking of some of our other characters besides Rhys and Feyre, however, I would have loved to if seen more of it if we were taking the alternating perspectives。 This book did allow us to see the bond of these friends in this series, which was neat, and seems to be setting up for potential future conflict knowing there is #5 just released。 。。。more

Ugh, this adds nothing to the story line or character development。 The first three were good。 This one- painful really。 My mate my mate mate, nothing interesting, immaturity, my mate my mate blah blah dumb

Feels a bit like crawling over broken glass doesn't it?Or being Tamlin, where Maas shoved him after she was finished attempting any kind of character complexity。Not that she'd know what that is。 Her books are sexual wish fulfillment。 But the kind where someone gets off seeing a picture of what his future son might look like。。。 yuck。And Feyre can paint again。。。 yay? The descriptions are vague, which tells us a lot about Maas'a writing abilities, but we know she's good because everyone says so。Eve Feels a bit like crawling over broken glass doesn't it?Or being Tamlin, where Maas shoved him after she was finished attempting any kind of character complexity。Not that she'd know what that is。 Her books are sexual wish fulfillment。 But the kind where someone gets off seeing a picture of what his future son might look like。。。 yuck。And Feyre can paint again。。。 yay? Was ‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’ as great as the first three books in the series? No! Did I expect it to be? No!This book is not even considered to be the fourth book in the series, but rather 3。1, and it’s more a peek into the aftermath of the war。 The plot of this book is nearly non existent and it functions more as a connection to the next book and as a chance to get to know the characters better and see what effect the war has had on them。 Overall, I liked it, because I always like to ge Was ‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’ as great as the first three books in the series? It feels like nothing happened in this book。 I listened to it because I thought maybe I was missing something at the start of A Court of Silver Flames, but I wasn't really。 I just honestly need to re-read the series at some point。 This is mostly just a small glimpse at what happens directly after the war, setting up quite a few things that happen in the next book。 Overall entertaining, but doesn't do a whole lot to move the story forward。 It feels like nothing happened in this book。 I listened to it because I thought maybe I was missing something at the start of A Court of Silver Flames, but I wasn't really。 I just honestly need to re-read the series at some point。 This is mostly just a small glimpse at what happens directly after the war, setting up quite a few things that happen in the next book。 Overall entertaining, but doesn't do a whole lot to move the story forward。 。。。more

Alice Fahy

I really enjoyed this add on book! It felt like a Christmas special of a tv show and was a nice addition to ACOTAR!

I don’t know why I keep reading Maas when I dislike her writing style so much。 I should learn my lesson。

I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of this installment was other than making you love the Night Court a little more。 There were hints at what’s to come in the next installment but really it was one big advertisement for Night Court Tourism。

Overall, I thought this book was pretty good。 I thought it was nice to be able to see a glimpse into what every day life looks like for Feyre, because all the other books are focused on much bigger events。 I do feel though, that this book got sort of boring at times。 (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed the ending though。 I thought it was really cool how Feyre started giving art lessons to kids for free, and I am very intrigued to see what happens in the next book with Nesta, since she will be going Overall, I thought this book was pretty good。 I thought it was nice to be able to see a glimpse into what every day life looks like for Feyre, because all the other books are focused on much bigger events。 I do feel though, that this book got sort of boring at times。 (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed the ending though。 I thought it was really cool how Feyre started giving art lessons to kids for free, and I am very intrigued to see what happens in the next book with Nesta, since she will be going to the Illyrian Mountains with Cassian。 (hide spoiler)] Overall, I thought this book was pretty good, but isn't really necessary to read, to understand the rest of the series。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book, I know a lot of people were disappointed that there wasn’t really a plot to it and not really any action or much drama。 But I actually loved reading about the characters daily lives after the war, trying to rebuild their home and patch things up between each other。 It was a simple yet enjoyable book, I can’t wait to see what becomes of nesta and cassian。

You don’t have to have it。 It’s like a hot springs episode between arcs。 I can see why people don’t like it。 Then again from what I have heard there are at least another 4-3 books I think。 So we will see if any of this pays off。 It was cute I enjoyed it for a short book between all the thick boys。
